Our passion for barbecue and everything related to smoke and fire began back in 1996,
when we purchased our very first Weber 22-inch Kettle.
 

What started as a hobby gradually grew into a true passion.
After a 40-year career in the specialized cheese industry, where we worked as professional cheese masters, the love for smoke, fire and great food eventually led us into the fascinating world of competitive barbecue.
 

Since 2016, we have been active as a barbecue competition team, taking part in national and international competitions. Over the years, we competed in the SCA European Points Chase (Steak Cookoff Association) and participated in numerous KCBS competitions (Kansas City Barbeque Society),
achieving excellent results along the way.
 

Alongside our activities as competition cooks, we are also actively involved in judging.
We are Certified Barbeque Master Judges with KCBS and certified SCA Judges.
Dirk is also a Fire Judge for the WBQA (World BBQ Association).
 

With many years of experience as competition cooks, judges and event organizers,
we are passionate about contributing to the development of the European barbecue scene.
We were closely involved in the launch of RCOA Europe (Rib Cookoff Association Europe).
 

Since 2024, we have been serving as RCOA Representatives for Europe, where we use our knowledge, experience and passion to support and further develop barbecue competitions
and the BBQ community across Europe.
 

From our very first Weber Kettle in 1996 to becoming competition cooks, champions,
certified judges and representatives within the international BBQ community,
our passion for fire, smoke and barbecue is stronger than ever.
