2022 — A Record-Breaking Season

The European SCA Steak Points Chase
 

What a season this was!

2022 was a year we will never forget.

We spent 24 weekends on the road, competing across Europe,
with an incredible 44 Steak turn-ins and 6 Ancillary turn-ins.
But the season had already reached historic proportions
before the European Points Chase even got underway.
 

The SCA World Championship — Texas, USA
 

Our season began with the SCA World Championship in Texas, USA,
where we achieved the highest Taste score ever recorded by a European team
at the World Championship: 
53.9 points out of a possible 54.5 !

A result we are incredibly proud of and one that demonstrated that European teams
could compete at the very highest level on the international SCA stage.
 

Three-Time Belgian Champions

Back home, we continued our winning streak and were crowned Belgian Champions for the third time.

But the European season was where things really started to become extraordinary.
 

A Record-Breaking European Season

During the European Steak competitions, we accumulated an incredible 282 points:
the highest score ever achieved in the European SCA Steak Points Chase at the time.
 

We also became only the third European team ever to achieve a “Double” :
winning two competitions on the same day, back-to-back.
 

And then came the statistic that truly made the season unforgettable:

14 victories in Europe in a single season.
 

That included:

• 11 × 1st Place — Steak

• 3 × 1st Place — Ancillary

Fourteen victories in one season. A record we are incredibly proud of.
 

European Reserve Grand Champion

All of these results culminated in one of the greatest achievements in our competition career.
 

We finished the season as:

European Reserve Grand Champion SCA

A title that reflects not just individual victories, but an entire season of consistency,
dedication and hard work on the European competition circuit.
 

Strong Ancillary Results
 

Our success wasn't limited to Steak.

We also finished 7th in the European Ancillary standings, competing in categories including:

• Chicken Wings

• Chili con Carne

• Christmas Cupcakes
   

And Then There Was Tine...

While Dirk was busy chasing trophies and points across Europe,
Tine was making her own mark on the SCA world.

During the season, she successfully completed her training and became a

Certified SCA Judge

Another important milestone for our team,
and proof that BBQ competition has truly become something we do together.

From Texas to competitions across Europe, 2022 was a season defined by
passion, consistency, records and an incredible number of weekends on the road.
 

We didn't just compete.
